Driver San Francisco optional missions Watch Dogs 2 guide, walkthrough
Last update: 12 December 2016
Driver San Francisco quest consists of small errands connected to Driver SF app found on Marcus' phone. These are mostly taxi quests, working in a similar manner as Uber (reaching a client who ordered a ride, and driving him to his target). Quests are divided into unique ones (e.g. doing jumps for Daredevil Liv), and repetitive ones (e.g. transporting client X to location Y before the time elapses).
Note - The order of the missions is random. If there aren't any that interest you, wait until they get replaced. The same applies if you've completed all the missions from the list - new ones will be added soon.
The currently available missions can be browsed from the phone, or activated by reaching markers on the map. Every completed mission yields cash (up to 9600$) and followers (up to 11,000 fans), while the received amount depends on your performance (i.e. how much stars you've received from the client - up to 5 stars). There are also some additional rewards - here is their list:
- New followers for 10, 21, 35, 50 stars, respectively.
- A unique Cabbie Cap Driver SF
Note - unlock Engine Override before proceeding with Driver San Francisco quests. Aside from that, most quests favors fast cars, so have this type of a car ready on hand.
Here is a list of unique (marked in yellow) and repetitive (green) Driver SF missions.

Unique mission - Fragile Cargo
Your client needs her precious cargo to be transported in a truck very carefully (using a truck is mandatory, you cannot use your own vehicle).. During your trip, avoid hitting other cars, and pretty much anything that you could hit on the road. Also remember that the truck doesn't break as hard as you regular V6 coupe, so each turn has to be planned in advance. After reaching the target, park the track in the indicated place and disembark.
Unique missions - Daredev!l Liv! and Liv Again
In both missions, Liv will want you to do spectacular jumps, as many as possible. Choose a car that is fast and easy to handle, and make sure that you have a full supply of botnets to power-up your nitro. Follow the route shown on the mini-map, and focus only on making far jumps after driving onto ramps placed along the way. Before every jump, make a serious acceleration, and watch out for other cars. Once all jumps are done, drive Liv to the destination.
Unique mission - Auto-nomous!
The quest giver wants Marcus to race three different autonomous vehicles. Get a good vehicle for this task, but make sure it's easy to handle. Make sure to focus on driving through checkpoints. Use nitro if necessary to avoid being overtaken by autonomous vehicles.
Unique mission - Just Making a Living
This quest has an untypical ending. You have to deliver Roman to the location chosen by him. Once you reach his destination, it turns out that he is one of the taxi drivers unhappy with Driver SF competition. Marcus will be assaulted, and he has to escape. The rules are identical to a police chase - loose the tail through fast driving or by hacking the environment.
Note - Don't exert yourself to gain a full number of stars, as it's not possible. You'll receive one star regardless of the mission's course.
Unique mission - Payback
This quest show on Driver SF list once you finish the one described above. Ian will ask Marcus to retrieve a stolen car. Visit all the shown locations until you locate the car. The vehicle will soon explode, and a police chase will begin. Loose the pursuit, and wait in hiding until the police officers stop their search. Once the heat dies down, take Ian to his home.
Unique mission - HAUM's Dirty Laundry
The mission will be available only after you've completed the main mission Haum Sweet Haum. Your client will be a Haum Electronics employee, and your task will be first to find some decent set of wheels. Why? Because this mission will have your driving fast. Elena needs to be delivered, pronto, to two locations - first to a clothing shop and later to the WKZ Station. On your way, avoid collisions and don't forget to use your nitro when you can.
Unique mission - Paranoid
The mission will have you tailing a drone, and since a big part of this trip will take place off road, you should first find a vehicle suitable for such chases. The protagonist will have to keep up with the drone until it eventually crashes.
Unique mission - Gone Phishing
The mission begins as usual, but the bulk of it will require you to follow two boats, which needs to be done by driving off road and on beaches. Find a car that can take some dirt, otherwise you'll lose the boats. One more thing, do try to avoid people enjoying a walk on the beach, would you?
Generic missions - Time attack
It's the most common of Driver SF missions. Marcus has to reach the location shown by the client as soon as possible. Use a good sport car, activate nitro on straight sections, and avoid hitting other cars or immobile elements.
Generic missions - Investigating areas on the map
Marcus may be asked by the client to investigate the blue areas on San Francisco map (e.g. to find a lost robot). Remember to use a fast car and activate nitro if necessary. Try to avoid any scuffles with the law, as they may interrupt your search in the given area of the city.
Generic missions - Slow rides
Some clients may require a slow cruise to the chosen destination. For such a task, make sure to choose an average car. The main benefit of such approach is that even with full speed, you'll still be "under" the limit. Some quests may even "force" an economic car on you. Remember to avoid driving too slow, as you may lose some stars from your grade before you reach the destination.
Generic missions - Keeping a steady pace
One of the hardest Driver SF quests - to get the highest mark, you need to constantly keep in the speed counter shown in the upper left corner of the screen (screenshot above). Choose an average car, so you can still get some speed if necessary. Focus during sharp turns in order to avoid a crash with another car or element of the environment. Plan such maneuvers in advance, and shorten the course if possible.
Generic missions - Don't exceed the damage limit
A client can ask Marcus for safer driving, which means avoiding exceeding the "damage limit". To collect a full set of stars, you'll need to reach your destination in a reasonable amount of time, but be alert in order to avoid a serious collision on the way. For such missions, choose a car that is easily steerable.
