Level 2 - The Sea | Walkthrough Unravel Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
The road to the kite
You start the second level in the forest. Go right and soon you will notice a trash bin. Attach the thread to a can that you will use to jump on the ledge. Tie the string to the looking glass and the bench to jump on its back. From that spot, you will be able to lasso the loop on the sign on the tree.
Construct another trampoline on the branches. Once you jump higher, attach the thread to the kite. Now you have to steer it up/down to avoid tree branches until you fly to the next ball of yarn. Start tying on the right side - otherwise you'll run out of thread.
Once you're next to the third branch, take a closer look. There's a button there. Don't worry if you fall off the kite when catching it; the button is already in your possession. Collecting this button will also unlock the achievement Eagle Eye.
Cones and a crab
Cones will help us get out of the ditch at the bottom of the tree. In the next ditch there's a crab - be careful, because it might be willing to crush you with its claws. Swing on the posts to get out of the hole. First, however, try to spot one of the buttons in the water. Quickly lower yourself on the thread to collect it.
Pull the stick to unlock the passage on the branch. You will find the second button under the bridge going all the way to the left. First, wrap the yarn around the ball under the bridge.
Use more loops to make your way over the water reservoir. Watch out for the ebb. On the right, you'll have to hook to the loop over the ball of yarn. To jump over there, pull the piece of wood with a chain.
At the end of this section, tie knots on two posts to create a trampoline. First, however, you can swing on the taut thread on the last post to get the button located to the left.
Seagull, mussel, and crab catching
In the next stage, climb the wooden pole near the seagull. Push the mussel down and into the water. It will attract the crab. Then, you will be able to jump across the water using the crab.
Another crab stands guard over a ball of thread. To make it satisfied, pull the loop on the crank mechanism all the way down and tie one end of the rope there, and the other on the bottom right. Get the mussel out of the water and give it to the crab. Then it will hide between the stones.
Now use the rope to climb the pole. Drop the buoy located at the top. Push it to the right as far as you can. When the tide comes, it will help you to engage with the mechanism and open the passage.
At once, push the buoy to the right because you will still need it. Make a double bridge using three loops and push the buoy over the wooden pole. Thanks to the pushed object, you will be able to cross another water reservoir.
To get rid of another crab, lift the mechanism with the loop upwards by stretching the string, and then loosen the lock so as to make the cage fall on the victim. The crab will go into the water and provide a makeshift bridge for you.
Once you climb up the cage, move the hook to the right and jump on it to push the buckle hanging on a chain. When you go higher, you will notice a hook on the chain. When you stand on it, it will break. Use the loop on the hook to jump further to the right.
Jump on the pole and then on the cage. You need to move on, but watch out for the last crab in the right corner. Approach it and then run back. This will prompt him to move. Alternatively, you can just swing over it and jump to the rock.
Boat hangar
In the penultimate puzzle, you need to tie a knot and jump over the pole on the left. When standing under the hatch, pull the rope and jump quickly to the center.
Another puzzle is not difficult. Build a trampoline and push the boxes to the right corner using the board. Quickly jump higher from the ramp and hook the loops to get to the opposite wall., You will find a button there.
Jump on the boat. Pull the cable from the engine to the right, and later the engine itself by the loop at the top to cut the rope holding the boat. Completing the level will be rewarded with the achievement Watch the waves.
