Falxmen in Total War: Arena Total War Arena Guide & Walkthrough

Factions: Barbarians
A special unit sent against swordsmen or Rome's heavily armored legionnaires. Their weapons break through any shield or armor. Falxmen fare less well against barbarian infantry which may be less armored, but sport high statistics in other fields.
- Main targets are swordsmen and spearmen.
- Falxmen are fast and suited to forest combat - use it.
- Lead them by choosing Vercingetorix, or (a secondary choice) Arminius.
- Abilities and Attributes
Frenzied Charge
A swift charge that can be used in melee combat to mix up the unit with the enemy. Cooldown period: 30s.
Dash
Increase your speed for 5s to relocate, attack, or to escape. Cooldown period: 35s.
- Consumables
Brandish Heads
Nearby units deal less damage (10 seconds). Useful when your cavalry got struck by the opponent.
Feast
Increases the damage dealt.
Spitzers
Increases the amount of your health points and the damage dealt.
Swear Oaths
Increases the damage dealt by horses or charges. The higher levels (3+) increase the overall movement speed.
Dirt Pouches
Lowers the armor value of the enemy units (10 seconds).
Intoxicate (Level 6)
Deal 2x more damage in combat for 10 seconds. Lowers your defense.
