This page of The Witcher explains how long it takes to complete the game. There are various variants available, depending on whether you want to focus on story only, complete all side quests, or unlock all trophies.

  1. The Witcher is an open-world RPG that can take up many hours to complete. The open world influences the length of the game. When playing at the normal difficulty level, completing the story only takes about 35 hours. Depending on what difficulty level the player chooses, the length of the game can either increase or decrease.
  2. The classic feature of RPGs, side quests, are also available, offering many bonuses for completing them. If the player wants to complete all side quests along with the main story, he will need around 45 hours to do so.
  3. Players who want to complete the game and unlock all trophies, will spend around 65 hours in game. The game contains many trophies which aren't that apparent, causing many problems for the player, further increasing the play time.
