The second chapter starts with your conversation with Christa in the woods, and it is caused by the trouble making fire in the rain.

In the course of the conversation with Christa, you learn that you are on your way to Wellington.

After the conversation with Christa you regain control over your character. Your task is to make fire. Take a look into the backpack, where you will find a fragment of a picture of Lee (Pick Up - Photo), a drawing of Kenny with his family (Pick Up - Drawing) and a lighter (Pick Up - Lighter).

After you put the backpack away, take a look around, approach the campfire and interact with it (Look At - Campfire).

If you want to make fire, you need to light the lighter up and set a piece of paper, in your hand, on fire. To do this, follow the instructions on the screen (Flick - Lighter). Press the left mouse button and move the mouse towards the slip of paper, while holding the mouse button down. After you set light to the slip of paper, select the (Light - Campfire) option.

After you make fire, you need to and something to kindle it with. Take a look around, where you will find roasting food (Examine - Food), a license plate (Examine - License Plate), a log (Pick Up - Log) and fire (Look At - Campfire, Add Fuel To - Campfire). After you select the (Add Fuel To - Campfire) option, you will be able to burn up either the drawing or the photo. If you want to keep both of these, you can firs pick up the log next to the campfire (Pick Up - Log) and select the (Add Fuel To - Campfire) option after that. There will appear another dialogue option, which will allow you to add the log only to the campfire, without having to burn the items dear to you (Burn - Log).

The actions will be interrupted by sounds of a quarrel coming from afar. In the distance, you will notice that Christa has been attacked and is in trouble.

IMPORTANT CHOICE

This is one of the important choices. Depending on what you do now, you may be offered by two different variants of the future events.

1.) [Distract scavengers] - The first option is to distract the attackers, which will allow Christa to escape. .

2.) [Sneak Away] - The second option is to walk away from there. At some point, Christa will notice you and shout out a command to run away. You will witness one of the assailants pierce through Christa with a sharp tool.

Regardless of what you do, the course of events is the same - you will have to escape.
