Chapter 3 | Episode 1 of The Walking Dead The Final Season The Walking Dead The Final Season Walkthrough
Last update: 11 September 2018
This is the last chapter of episode 1 - Done Running - in The Walking Dead: The Final Season. This is the shortest chapter and is an ending of the entire episode. You will not be making any important choices that affect the storyline here.
Basement - Brody and Marlon
You will wake up in the middle of the night. Once the conversation with AJ is over, exit through the doors and head to the left, to the end of the corridor and try to open the door on the left side, leading to the basement. The door will be closed. Head outside and towards the corner of the courtyard, where a locked hatch to the basement can be found. Fortunately, you can find a brick lying on the ground there - use it to open the lock and get to the basement. There you will run into Brody and Marlon.
Regardless of your choices, Brody will die (Marlon will die as well - the dialogue options you can choose here have no impact on that). Once the girl dies and Marlon escapes, you need to go through a dark corridor, where you will pick up a flashlight and a ruler. Thanks to them you will be able to get out of the basement, but you first need to complete a QTE sequence.
Courtyard - an encounter with Marlon and ending
This is where the chapter ends. Dialogue options do not have much of an impact here, as every route will lead to Marlon's or Clementine's deaths. The only choice that will be visible in the summary regards the things you say to Tenn once the boy starts conversation with Marlon (more on that can be found in Important Choices chapter).
Clementine will die if:
- During the attempt to convince Louis or Violet to your side, you will not take any action (option "..."),
- If you tell AJ to run ("AJ, run!").
Additionally, during that scene you can slightly improve the relationships with the remaining kids:
- With Louis / Violet, depending on who you convince to your side,
- With Tenn, if you will not keep quiet once the boy starts talking.
