Chapter 2 | Episode 1 of The Walking Dead The Final Season The Walking Dead The Final Season Walkthrough
Last update: 11 September 2018
With the nightfall ends the first chapter of Clementine and AJ's story in the first episode - Done Running - of The Walking Dead: The Final Season game. You should now save the game, as from now on you will be making multiple important decisions that will allow you to acquire additional trophies.
Marlon's room
First things first, head to the upper floor, to Marlon's room, where Tenn can be found. AJ will want to take his toy - if you order him to give the toy back, Tenn will remember it. After a short while Rosie, Marlon's dog, will enter the room. The owner will also arrive there and will want to befriend you with the dog. If you agree:
- You will "meet" Rosie (an information about starting a "relationship" will appear in the episode's summary). Additionally, Rosie will take part in the next episode of the game.
- You will unlock the Good Girl achievement.
Another decision is crucial, as you will be taken to one of the two locations. You can choose to go hunting with the boys ("Hunt with Louis and Aasim"), or go fishing ("Fish with Violet and Brody").
a) Fishing
While fishing you will be talking with Brody and Violet. If you will be friendly towards Brody and will agree to talk to Violet, you will gain her trust. You can also speak with AJ, standing near the wall, about the heart engraved on the wall and you will unlock Lost Love trophy. Now look at the fireplace - there you will find a cat's skull - another secret.
Take a makeshift spear lying next to the wall and leave the house. Catch fishes by aiming at them and pressing the button. If you hit them every single time, you will acquire the Upstream trophy. During the conversation with Violet, choose the following options:
- "She thinks you do",
- "Because you blame her"
Those will improve relationships between Violet and Brody, as well as between Clementine and Violet.
b) Rabbit hunting
The second option is to go hunting with Louis and Aasim. Here, after a short conversation, the path gets divided again:
- Go with Aasim to hunt rabbits - if you manage to catch two animals without making any mistakes, you will get the Rabbit Season trophy.
- Stay with Louis and hit the hanging zombie 3 times, unlocking Where's the Candy? trophy.
The further part of the gameplay looks similar and leads to the exact scenes.
Train station
The ending of the chapter is always the same, regardless of your previous choices. The heroes, together with Louis and Violet, will head towards the train station - it is the only available choice on the map.
You will reach the place at night. Explore the area and analyze the bell at the gate. Pick up the "Less talking, more going" option to improve your relationship with Louis. Now head towards the building and hide behind barrels, eliminating any enemies. Alarm Louis, while still hiding behind barrels, and you will be able to enter the building.
Inside the building you will meet with a stranger called Abel. The dialogue options are as follows:
- Push him out of the window (Attack Abel),
- Tell AJ to back down ("AJ, lower the gun"),
- Tell AJ to shoot ("AJ, shoot") - death of characters.
This decision will have an impact on AJ in the future. You will soon get back to camp where Clementine will try to explain herself. This dialogue has no impact on the story.
You return to the school, the moods are mixed. You will speak with Tenn who is currently drawing. You can agree to be included into his drawing, improving your relationship with the boy. This is also the last secret, which you will acquire automatically, regardless of your decision. Now you can place all of the secret items you have acquired in the room - if you have found all of them and place every in the room, you will get To Make It Look Nice trophy.
