The Medium: Funeral home - walkthrough The Medium guide, walkthrough
Last update: 29 January 2021
On this page of our The Medium guide, you will find a description of the Funeral Home, the second stage of the game. Here we have described all the interactions you need to perform to complete the objectives at the funeral home. Your main task is to prepare Jack for his funeral. However, you can perform some minor interactions that will help you understand the plot and increase the immersion.
Get inside
Let's start with something very simple. After descending the stairs and crossing the square, you will reach a long, bright corridor. Check the door on the right – it leads to the funeral home.
Use the key, which has been in your inventory since the beginning of the game, to get inside.
Enter the morgue
To get to the morgue (the first door from the entrance) you must get the right key. It lies on the desk in the main office. You will easily recognize this room by a huge tree carved on the wall.
You can also find some items in the office that will trigger memories. They are, however, not required to progress the story.
Get the keys and head to the huge brown door. Open it to get inside.
In the morgue, you can only take out one corpse. You can get it right away so as not to prolong this emotional and difficult moment for the heroine.
After removing the corpse you will notice that the tie is missing. You must find it to continue your quest.
Fortunately, you don't have to look far. The tie is on a stool, right next to the cabinets. Just look to the left and you will come across the item.
Your next task is to put the pin on the tie. You will do this in the inventory window.
When you combine the tie with the pin, put it around Jack's neck. This will trigger some memories.
The heroine will hear a loud noise coming from the office. Go there quickly to see what happened.
You will see destroyed urns. When you look at them, you will get moved to the spirit world.
In this case, you can only observe what is happening. You cannot perform any interactions in the spirit world. Once the cut-scene is over, you can leave the funeral home and continue on your journey.
