Last update: 03 February 2021
On this page of our The Medium guide, you'll find a walkthrough for the 11th stage of the game, Dayroom. Here we have described all the interactions you need to perform in the dayroom. In this sequence, you mainly have to examine several items and put everything together. However, you can perform some minor interactions that will help you understand the plot and increase the immersion.
Sheet music - 1st piece
Open the door to the dayroom and look around it. You will find quest-related items and a few secrets.
For more information on locating echoes, mentor's diary, and memory shards, see separate pages in our guide.
You must go to the end of the corridor to cut the skin that blocks the passage. Use the razor you found earlier.
One of the memory shards can be found right at the beginning. To examine it, you must check the drip bag that hangs right next to the table with plants. All you have to do is look at it and then put the memory together.
You will find sheet music in the dayroom. You have to put the pieces together. Start with a piece of paper lying on the wooden chair in the corner of the room. Pick up the first part and place it in your inventory.
Equator
Going forward, head to a room that only your spirit form can enter. You will find some valuable items there.
Pick up the item lying on the cabinet to the left. The "equator" will be useful in the next part of the task. After a thorough inspection of the room, return to the main area as the real-world version of Marianne.
Sheet music - 3rd piece
Another part of sheet music is on a wooden desk on the right side of the room. You can combine the papers right away.
Globe
To go further, you need to get to the next part of the room. In one of them, you will find a globe – you need it to continue the plot.
Approach the globe and put the "equator" part on it.
Your task is to arrange the three parts so that they form a face. If you do this, another branch will appear, allowing you to walk on the other branches.
Your task is to move the obstacles so that you can go out on the balcony. It's not hard, just keep spinning the globe until you see the slot on the left.
Go through the balcony to the next room. There you will find an important item without which you won't be able to progress the story.
In the room, you will find a power source and a piano. However, you won't be able to use it until you get the full set of sheet music. Go right and look at the desk.
You will find a key that is necessary for opening the teacher's room.
Sheet music - 2nd piece
Take the key and head to the dayroom. The door to the teacher's room is locked – you must open it with the key.
Go straight to the desk. There you will find the last part of the sheet music.
You now have all three parts – put them together in the inventory.
Piano
After getting the entire sheet, return to the room with the piano.
Place the sheet music on the piano. This will create a source of energy – draw it.
You will need it to move on.
After collecting energy, cut the skin blocking the passage to the right. This will enable you to quickly return to the main room.
Room
Head to the next staircase. Create a spirit shield right away to avoid the moths. Use the stairs and go down to the lower floor.
You must check three memory shards: on the painting, on the doll, and on the bow.
After checking them, a wheelchair will appear – examine it. This will trigger the next part of the story.
