During the playthrough of Callisto Protocol, you may have problems with using the inventory with a very limited capacity (only 6 slots for items). On this page of the guide, we have provided information on how to permanently increase the inventory to 12 slots. In addition, you will find tips on how to manage your inventory and deal with its limitations.
Default inventory - 6 slots
In The Callisto Protocol, you can easily run into the problem of a full inventory - it can prevent you from picking up some items meaning you can potentially miss a lot of valuable loot.
Inventory in the game is divided into 2 parts:
- The left part is occupied by the GRP glove and Jacob's weapons. You cannot modify it and there is no risk of it getting full.
- The right part is occupied by other items you pick up (ammunition, medicine, things to sell in a Reforge, schematics, etc.) and initially the inventory is limited only to 6 slots.
Here are some important tips for managing your inventory:
- Keep the number of useful items in your inventory to a minimum. Ideally, you should have 1 Health Injector and 1 set of extra ammo for a given weapon.
- Take the most valuable loot with you. These can be, for example, a decoder (500 credits) or a pristine energy converter (200 credits). This will allow you to get rich after selling these items in the shop.
- Free up space by removing less valuable items, e.g. an incomplete ammo set for a given weapon.
- Return to the same Reforges several times. After you find a new Reforge, you can sell the items you've moved there AND go back to the loot you left, collect it and sell. Thanks to this, you will gain access to new upgrades in the shop faster.
Expanding inventory to 12 slots
At the end of chapter 3 (Habitat) you will find the security armor. Jacob will automatically put it on and it will replace the prisoner outfit that the protagonist started with.
One of the features of the new armor is expanding the inventory from 6 to 12 slots. This will allow you to carry more ammo, batteries or medicine. You can also return to the Reforge less often to get rid of unwanted items.
