The Callisto Protocol puts a lot of emphasis on melee combat. Even after acquiring different types of firearms, you will still be able to fight many enemies with melee weapons. There will also be an option to upgrade the Stun Baton, e.g. to unlock new attacks or increase its strength.

The first firearm in The Callisto Protocol is the BI-55 Hand Cannon pistol. You can acquire this weapon shortly after the beginning of Chapter 2 (Aftermath). Jacob will reach the place where he will meet Elias - the man will give you the weapon fragment needed to craft it.

You need to build a pistol using the 3D printer in the Reforge. You have to pay for it, but in this case you will find the necessary credits in a large chest next to the Reforge.

Later in the game, you can find schematics for more weapons and pay for crafting them in other Reforges. The places where you can obtain schematics have been described in the Schematics chapter.
