Examine the telescope on the terrace and put a coin in it (use your wallet). Then pull the lever on the body of the telescope and look through it.
Use the arrows on the left and right of the screen to change the magnifying glass. The magnifying glass icon zooms in and out of the viewed part of the mountains, while pressing the camera icon will take a photo.
Go through all parts of the landscape carefully and take pictures.
After taking pictures of all sections of the mountains, you will unlock the Tourism trophy.
Walk up to the railing and look at the mountain landscape.
Step off the terrace, then investigate the trail and information board.
Talk to the man sitting at the table in the refuge - he will tell you a lot of interesting information about the region.
Examine the book on the refuge's floor, near the stairs and hallway leading to the rooms.
You need to investigate this book to unlock the A Classic Novel achievement later in the game. You can read more about it on a separate page of this guide: Trophies.
Leni's bedroom is the first room to the right on the 2nd floor of the refuge. Examine the photos above the desk and look closely at all photographs. Then, read the newspaper clipping in the frame by the bed.
Use the lever by the stairs, then enter the refuge's attic. Examine the medal in the cardboard box.
Find Junta's coffer in the attic
Climb the stairs to the upper floor of the refuge. Pull the lever and slide out the stairs to the attic. Go to the attic; the coffer is at the back of the room.
Open Junta's coffer - set the left side panel
Use the knobs on the right side of the coffer to match the parts of the painting to the mountain landscape. Place them as in the picture above. When a knob comes out of the side, turn it to the right
Open Junta's coffer - set the right side panel
On the right side of the coffer, set the correct pictures by sliding them with the small handles.
Slide to the following pictures:
- The middle piece on the left,
- The top piece and the bottom piece on the right.
When the knob at the bottom comes out, hold it down with the left mouse button and turn it to the right.
Open Junta's coffer - set the top side
Once the panels on the left and right sides of the coffer are set, examine the top of the coffer. Arrange the paintings to form a complete mountain landscape
Find the codes for the coffer
Check out your inventory. Earlier, you used a magnifying glass to take pictures of different parts of the mountain landscape. You will find the codes for the coffer in the pictures of Silberspiegel and Devil's Pass.
- The code for the left side of the coffer is 072;
- The code for the right side of the coffer is 108.
Search the coffer
Move the book with the tattered cover and pick up the letter underneath. Turn over the page and read Junta's letter.
