Before entering the caves, you should equip yourself with a good armor. Below you will find a list of materials needed to craft Tech Armor, which is one of the best armors available in Sons of the Forest.
Materials for Tech Armor
To craft a single piece of Tech Armor you need:
- 1x Wire - found in abandoned camps, caves, wooden chests, etc.
- 1x Duck Tape - you will find it by exploring camps, bunkers and opening yellow chests.
- 1x Circuit Board - you will find them in the same places as the materials listed above. In addition, you can destroy electrical devices such as radios or laptops to receive 1 board.
- 1x Tech Mesh - you can obtain this material only by using a 3D printer. The device can be found in abandoned bunkers. 1 Tech Mesh requires 250 units of resin. The exact location of the most accessible printer can be found on our map: Cave #10
The crafting system is described in more detail on the Crafting page.
Completed Tech Armor
Remember that each piece of Tech Armor must be crafted separately. The armor set consists of 10 pieces. Each of them, although worn on a different part of the body, requires the same materials.
A single piece of armor grants you one orange armor segment, which is displayed next to your health in the lower right corner of the screen. Keep an eye on it to know how many Tech Armor parts are still protecting your character and, if necessary, craft the missing piece. You can read more about this on the Health and armor page.
