Hints for the advanced players Pokemon GO Guide

Last update: 19 August 2016

1. The trainer level cap a player can achieve is 40. However, this is time-consuming, as it requires 5,000,000 experience points.

2. The level of Pokemons that you catch on the map may go up to 30. This means that after you reach level 30, you find Pokemons of the same CP as when you are, e.g. at level 35. Of course, you can keep training such Pokemons.

3. Pokemons that hatch from eggs may reach experience level no higher than 20 - the ones that have been hatched by the trainer at level 20 will have their CP similar to that of those hatched by a trainer at a higher level. Of course, you can still train such Pokemons.

4. The higher the experience level of the player's trainer, the more difficult it becomes to catch Pokemons - they will escape from Pokeballs more often and they will earlier flee from battle.

5. Pokeballs thrown with a spin, as well as the ones thrown with a bonus (Nice Throw, Great Throw, Excellent Throw) increase your chances of catching a Pokemon.

6. Mr. Mime, Kangashkan, Tauros and Farfetch'd are Pokemons exclusive for specific continents - you can catch them in Europe, Australia, North America and Asia, respectively. There has been a rumor that these Pokemons can be hatched from "10 kilometer eggs", but the chance to do that is unknown (and probably not too high).

7. Each attack of a Pokemon has a base chance of critical hit.

8. Pokemons that launch attacks of their own type (e.g. a Grass Pokemon using a Grass attack) deal 25% ore damage.

9. The Pokemon special attack meter charges by 0.5 seconds per each health point that you manage to damage the enemy creature for. This means that the super-effective attacks (e.g. lightning attack against a water Pokemon) charge the special attack much faster than regular attacks.

10. Pokemons that you fight against in the Hall attack every 1.5 seconds.
