Phasmophobia: Parabolic mic - how to use?
In this chapter of the Phasmophobia guide, you will learn how to use the parabolic mic – one of the additional items that ghost hunters take with them on missions.
The parabolic mic costs $50 and is one of the specialized tools that hunters can use to track a ghost. You unlock access to this item after reaching level 7. What is important, this special type of microphone captures even the quietest sounds from a long distance, and it works through walls.
How to detect a ghost?
The parabolic mic is a very sensitive device – it will pick up even the smallest sound, such as the flick of a light switch. When using this item, make sure that you do not make any additional noise that could interfere with the readings. If you play in a group, all members will have to do the same.
When the parabolic mic picks up a sound, the reading on its display will change depending on the intensity of the noise – it will react differently to dropping a light object than to door slam. This is a sign of which direction you should go to find the haunted room.
A parabolic mic can be a useful tool, but only on larger maps (Brownstone High School, Asylum). There is no need to use this device if the game takes place on a small map.
