As you can see, reviewers practically do not go below a rating of 9/10. Among the advantages of the game are often mentioned such aspects as total freedom of action - the game gives players a ton of opportunities to solve problems and does not lead us by the hand. Lovers of exploration will have a ton of attractions here, as the world is attractive and full of nooks and crannies that beg to be visited.
Another strong point is the variety in methods of movement and combat. The game uses many interesting patents to diversify gameplay, and rewards creative thinking.
Overall, the game does not represent a revolution compared to its predecessor, but takes the best from it, adding a handful of new ideas. This mixture is certainly a recipe for success - suffice it to say that at this point Tears of the Kingdom is the best-rated game of all time on OpenCritic.
One can even assume that the game of the year competitions will be as boring and obvious this year as those in 2017... but who knows, by December we may yet get some other mega hit.
