Gylt Survived tha Fall of Google Stadia; Tasty Morsel for Little Nightmares Fans
Gylt is an interesting horror action adventure that in many ways resembles Little Nightmares. We seemed to have lost it with the shutdown of Google Stadia - fortunately, today it was announced that the game will come to PC and consoles.

We feared that with the January death of Google Stadia, some pretty interesting games would be sent to oblivion, such as Gylt by Tequila Works (Deadlight, Rime). Today, it was revealed that the said title will survive and move to other platforms. The game will be available from July 6 on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One..
Gylt is an adventure game with puzzles, stealth and an element of action, which with its mild horror atmosphere, style and gameplay model brings to mind associations with the Little Nightmares series.
The adventure is set in a fictional old mining town in the state of Maine. The player takes on the role of Sally, a Bethelwood girl whose life is not easy, and became even worse after her little cousin Emily disappeared. The protagonist is drawn into a warped version of her town, where her fears and worst memories take very real form.
While looking for Emily, the player has to understand the surrounding world of nightmares and make decisions about whether to face the monsters or run away from them. You can avoid detection by the creatures and distract - or attract - their attention with various lures.
Following its debut in 2019 Gylt received mixed reviews. Some critics found the game decent and good for younger players, while others ruled that it was forgettable. The average rating on OpenCritic is 68/100 - perhaps the re-release on PCs and consoles will receive patches to improve this score?
