Xbox Among Top 100 Brands in the World; No Sony and PlayStation
Xbox was ranked 65th in the BrandZ Global Top 100 ranking, presenting one hundred most valuable brands in the world. Interestingly, the ranking does not include the competing PlayStation.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- Xbox took 65th place in the ranking of 100 most valuable brands in the world;
- Sony and PlayStation are not on the list;
- The leader of the ranking is Amazon ($415.9 billion), ahead of Apple ($352.2 billion), Microsoft ($326.5 billion) and Google ($323.6 billion).
Kantar / Millward Brown has published the next edition of the BrandZ Global Top 100 ranking. The list includes Xbox, which is valued at $19.6 billion, earning it a decent 65th spot. Interestingly, neither Sony nor PlayStation can be found on the list.
What is the BrandZ Top 100 ranking?
The BrandZ Top 100 ranking is the only brand value study in the world that takes into account the opinions of customers about the brands they buy, combined with rigorous analysis of financial data, market evaluations, analytical reports and risk profiles. The report, which is available on the Internet, contains a ranking and analysis of the most valuable brands in key regions of the world for 13 sectors, including the retail sector.
The leader of the list is Amazon, currently valued at $415.9 billion, which is 52% more than last year. Jeff Bezos's brand has overtaken Apple (352.2 billion dollars), Microsoft (326.5 billion dollars) and Google (323.6 billion dollars). The list was also full of novelties - Chinese TikTok debuted on 79th place (one mightI wonder if the value of the brand in next year's ranking will be influenced by controversies surrounding its apps we have recently written about).
In total, the world's most valuable brands have increased their price by 5.9% year-on-year and are now worth five trillion dollars - about the same as Japan's annual GDP.
