Some main and side quests in Path of Exile 2 are straightforward. However, sometimes even when you're trying your best, you can't figure out the next step. This is especially true while the game is still in early access, where bugs, like those involving Mektul the Forgemaster or the Undamaged Core, can hinder progress. But in the Legacy of Vaal quest, the difficulty lies not in a bug but in how easy it is to miss the entrance to Jiquani's Machinarium.

The Legacy of Vaal quest begins in Act 3 of Path of Exile 2. After being teleported to Sandswept Marsh, your first step is to speak with The Hooded One. As you progress through the Ziggurat Encampment and Jungle Ruins, you'll eventually reach the Chimeral Wetlands, where your objective is to enter Jiquani’s Machinarium. However, the entrance doesn’t appear on the map until you get close to it. And let’s face it – some locations in PoE 2 are massive, so it’s completely normal to miss something along the way.

The entrance to Jiquani’s Machinarium is located in the Deadly Nest where you need to defeat Xyclucian the Chimera, who guards the staircase leading to this area. Watch out for its Ice, Fire, and Lightning breath, and once you inside the Machinarium, there’ll be a waypoint.
