The end of the year is fast approaching, and with it the time for summarizing the passing months in the game industry. Its own summary, as every year, is organized by Sony, which once again invited gamers to participate in the PlayStation Game of the Year Awards.

As part of the fun the community can vote for their favorite games in 18 categories prepared by the Japanese company. Among them we can find the best story, the best graphic presentation or the best soundtrack.

There is also the most important of all categories, the PS5 game of the year. The fight for victory promises to be exciting, as such hits as Alan Wake 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Hogwarts Legacy, Resident Evil 4 and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will be taking part.

The PlayStation Game of the Year Awards is not just about rewarding this year's titles, but also a chance to choose the most interesting games that will debut in 2024 "and beyond". The list includes a place for Dragon's Dogma II, Grand Theft Auto VI, Marvel's Wolverine or Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

You can find the surveys on the official PlayStation blog. It's worth mentioning that some have a special section where you can enter a title that is not included in the list, but deserves an honorable mention. Voting will end on Monday, December 18.
