Helldivers 2 has already attracted 15 million players to the side of Democracy.

During the Golden Joystick Awards gala (see the list of winners), the shooter by Arrowhead Game Studios received an award for the Best Multiplayer Game of the Year. During the speech accompanying the award presentation, the developers confirmed the current sales of this popular cooperative shooter or the number of its players.

The last time we heard about the results of the second Helldivers was in May when the team boasted that 12 million copies of the game had been sold. Since then (actually since the premiere itself) the game has been discounted only once - by 20% to $31.99.

Helldivers 2 was one of the biggest hits of early 2024, although it cannot be denied that it never aroused as much interest as Palworld or Black Myth: Wukong. Over the past month, approximately 30,000 to 75,000 people were playing the game simultaneously each day.

This result is far from a record, but it still places HD 2 among the most popular titles on Steam (the game is also available on PlayStation 5). The game is still also in the top hundred bestsellers on Valve's platform.
