The Studio Revolution Team has released a new trailer for GTA Vice City Nextgen Edition, a mod intended to serve as an unofficial remaster of the iconic Rockstar Games game from 2002/2003. The material focuses on presenting the plot.

The creators also boasted that work on the project is coming to an end. Modders revealed that GTA Vice City Nextgen Edition has been 95% completed and the modification is currently in the final testing phase.

Revolution Team has scheduled the release for December this year, but the group warns that depending on the course of the tests, the mod may be delayed. If this happens, the delay won't be huge - in the worst-case scenario, the launch of the modifications will be postponed to January 2025.

We should underline that the mod recreates the original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City on the GTA 4 engine, and not Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition, which was released three years ago. The latest title has left much to be desired for a long time, mainly due to poor graphics, which diminished a large part of the original's atmosphere. However, two weeks ago, Rockstar Games studio finally addressed this with a big update. So we are curious how GTA Vice City Nextgen Edition will fare against the latest version of the official remaster.
