Total War: Warhammer 3 With New Campaign in the Old World
A fan project called The Old World Campaign has been released, adding a new strategy campaign set in the Old World of Total War: Warhammer III.
Total War: Warhammer III has proven to be a rather controversial game. One indisputable bright spot in the strategy is its modding community. We recently wrote about the great project called SFO: Grimhammer III, and today we want to draw your attention to the mod called The Old World Campaign, which debuted yesterday on Steam Workshop.
The mod introduces to the game a brand new startegy campaign set in the Old World. It contains 666 settlements, and all factions involved in the competition are playable. The whole thing is very well-designed, with gameplay mechanics and balance properly reworked to fit the new map.
The project debuted only yesterday, but already offers a high level of refinement - bugs rarely appear. What's important, The Old World Campaign is compatible with the aforementioned SFO: Grimhammer III, which improves, among other things, gameplay balance and AI, so it's worth having both mods installed.
The Old World Campaign is not only a great project in itself. Players hope that its release will mark a new stage in the history of Total War: Warhammer III modding and will be followed by many other fan-made campaigns.
Total War: Warhammer III debuted in February 2022. The game was a big commercial success, but still suffers from numerous problems and controversial decisions of the devs. This can be seen on Steam, where, counting all reviews since the day of release, only 60% are positive. In turn, of the reviews from the last 30 days alone, only 26% are praising the game.
