Original news
April 13 will see the release of Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs, a major expansion for Total War: Warhammer III. Now Creative Assembly has revealed that on the same day the game will also include a smaller free DLC titled Mirror of Madness. It will introduce a number of new features to the strategy game.
The free expansion will appear in the game automatically with update 3.0, which means you won't have to activate it yourself.
According to the post published by the developers, update 3.0 will implement two entirely new gameplay modes:
- The Trials of Fate - here we will play the role of the demonic prince Tzeentch, who defends a point called Shard. The game is based on fending off ever-increasing waves of enemies for as long as possible. How we do will be graded on a point scale, and achieving the right score will enable us to unlock pieces of equipment that we will use in the Kingdom of Chaos and Immortal Empires campaigns.
- The Infinite Portal - enables us to freely choose the parameters of battles. This means that we ourselves will decide, for example, the size of the armies, the damage the troops inflict, the time for reloading weapons, and even the strength of gravity and the volume of blood pouring out of the combatants.
It is worth recalling that we first heard about the DLC last year. A spectacular trailer appeared then, available below.
