Today’s NMS Update Is about Normandy and Cross Save. Get New Ship Before Time Runs Out
From nowhere developers from Hello Game introduced a big update. For a limited time you can get Normandy. Cross save feature is also included.
Not so long ago, Hello Games released an Expedition called The Cursed. Players were able to get a new ship Boundary Herald. Because of that, fans were not ready for the surprise, which was waiting for them. Today we celebrate N7 Day. It is an annual event connected to one of the most popular space genres in the gaming world – Mass Effect. Developers of No Man’s Sky, another successful space exploration title, decided (in collaboration with EA and BioWare) to give fans a chance to get the iconic ship from Commander Shepard’s story – SSV Normandy SR1. It is not the first time, when the ship is here, but the last time it was in 2021. So, it is quite a big deal. It is not the end of good news, though. Developers announced cross save, a feature awaited by many and informed about PS5 Pro version of the game.
How to Get SSV Normandy SR1 in NMS
As in the case of all unique ships, you can get Normandy thanks to the completion of the Expedition. In this case we speak about Beachhead. It is the final reward. The new mode should be live as we speak. However, you have to be quick, as the event will last only for 2 weeks, so it’s time limited.
Cross Save in NMS and PS5 Pro Gameplay
Normandy is not the only thing which developers from Hello Games prepared for us. Definitely, cross save feature is big news. Starting from now, all players can connect different platforms on which they play on a dedicated site. However, it does not mean that it is already active for all. The next step is for developers to pick a small group of testers, who will get access to it. If you want to learn more, read developers’ post.
At the same time Hello Games studio has announced that the enhanced version of NMS on PS5 Pro is already live. Apparently, it was quietly smuggled with the previous update, The Cursed, so you do not have to download anything (well, you may want to, as Normandy awaits).
