Independent game enthusiasts can slowly rub their hands, because September 11th of this year will bring us the premiere of Mirthwood on PC. The promising game is created by Bad Ridge Games studio and combines elements of a simulator and an RPG. The announcement of the developers and the publisher, V Publishing, is accompanied by a new trailer for the title.

In Mirthwood we will move to an open world in a fantasy atmosphere, thanks to which we will be able to freely explore the available lands and take part in numerous adventures. Lovers of a peaceful life will gain the opportunity to establish a farm or a workshop. The game will also feature an extensive social relations system.

Here's what Brian Hecox, one of the founders of the two-person studio Bad Ridge Games, had to say about his game:

We're eager for players to immerse themselves in a character of their own. The experience is designed around the freedom of choice, Navigate moral choices or survive in the wild carefree. Explore the path of an adventurer or choose the cozy farming life, the choices are yours.

It's worth mentioning that the devs of Mirthwood were inspired by games such as Stardew Valley, Rimworld, The Sims, and the Fable series. You can check their game now - the demo version is available on the Steam platform.
