With the return of the first and second part of Star Wars Battlefront in form of Classic Collection, Galactic Conquest mode, which was missing from modern titles of this series, also makes a comeback. This game type is a turn-based strategy, which was loved by many fans. However, players have discovered that the reedition, released by Aspyr recently, has many flaws. If you are experiencing bugs like being unable to create fleet or if you are wondering if this production features coop, here you will find all the answers you need.

Fleet creation issue in Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection
Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection is unfortunately not off to a good start. Since the main feature of the game is multiplayer mode, it is understandable that players were infuriated when it turned out that most of the online component is in shambles. Sadly, Galactic Conquest mode is also far from being ideal. Many fans report a bug which makes creating fleets impossible.
If you experience this issue, too, there is an easy way to work around it. Cunning players have found out that using a controller makes it possible to select other planets and create a fleet that way. This seems to be a reminiscent of console port of this version. There is no official or more elegant way of dealing with this issue now, so let’s hope that Aspyr will address this bug soon in one of the future patches they are working on.
As mentioned in the linked announcement, if you are experiencing technical issues, it is a good idea to create a support ticket.
Online coop in SW Battlefront Classic Collection explained
When an old game is re-released on modern devices, we would expect something more than only making it work as it was way back when. Many players would love to see a fully-fledged online coop feature for Galactic Conquest mode. If you are one of them, unfortunately we do not have good news for you, as it is impossible in Classic Collection.
That being said, if you are playing on Steam, there is an interesting workaround that fans have thought of. Since the title offers local split screen coop, it should be possible to use Steam’s Remote Play Together functionality to alleviate this limitation. Obviously, it is not the best method of dealing with this as it would be expected from Aspyr to make it possible natively, yet it’s a way to enjoy this game mode with friends.
Let’s hope that the developers will take feedback from players seriously, and fix the production in such an important for many universe.
