- Star Citizen received update 3.14;
- The sky city of Orison has appeared in the game;
- The devs also added new missions and mechanics.
Star Citizen has just received another update, and with it a dose of new content. The most impressive part of update 3.14 is certainly the new location prepared by the developers. We're talking about Orison, which is a sky city that floats among the clouds of a gas giant called Crusader. The station is to guarantee the players a moment of respite and enable them to explore the beautiful gardens suspended in the air. The developers also revealed that new volumetric cloud technology was used in the development of the gas planet, which they will continue to use in the future.
The new location isn't the only content coming to the game with update 3.14. Star Citizen also got another event in which space pilots will be able to participate. The mission Ninetails Lockdown will force them to choose between helping a besieged space station or joining the pirates. During the mission they will be able to use a new spaceship called RSI Constellation Taurus.
Apart from that, new mechanics appeared in the game and the old ones were changed. A new feature is the possibility to surrender to law enforcement, which was given to the players who engage in illegal activities. After surrendering to the authorities they will be sent to the Klescher Rehabilitation Facility, where they will have to serve their sentence. The alternative is breaking free by force. Moreover, the energy management aspect of our ship has been expanded and allows for greater flexibility during space battles.
As in every update, the developers also removed numerous bugs from the game. The full list of changes and new features introduced to Star Citizen update 3.14 can be found here.
