Challenging The Sims is extremely difficult. Even Paradox was not up to the task and ultimately canceled the Life by You project. However, the Korean corporation Krafton does not intend to give up. Its representative just revealed plans regarding the inZOI project.

  1. First of all, it was confirmed that inZOI will debut in Early Access later this year.
  2. The game's developers are preparing for a long haul. Hyungjun Kim, the director of inZOI , said it would take at least a decade to fully realize his vision.
  3. However, it will not end there. Krafton wants to inZOI to be developed for 20 years.

The creators need so much time because their ambitions are huge. They want, among other things, to add many new cities from different countries and cultures to the game in the future, as well as to enable the players to create practically anything they want.

Competing with The Sims 4 won't be easy. Even Electronic Arts has for now given up on creating the traditional fifth installment of the series and instead is working on the more experimental Project Rene.

Despite this, inZOI has a good chance of making a big impact in this category. Unlike the heavily cartoonish The Sims series, the Korean game is expected to focus on a very realistic visual style. In addition, the game will offer an open world and elements such as driving cars. Is this enough to win the hearts of fans of this type of productions? We will find out soon enough.
