ORCS Announced, RPG Similiar to Baldur's Gate 3 With Fortnite Styling
Lightforge Games has officially announced the game Project O.R.C.S. In this upcoming RPG, together with friends we'll create our own story, quests, and levels.
Consider checking out the recently announced Project O.R.C.S. from Lightforge Games if you're in the market for a similar RPG experience after extended play sessions of Baldur's Gate III. The studio is led by Matt Schembari, who previously worked as a designer at Blizzard and as the UI director at Epic Games, contributing to projects such as Fortnite.
- Project O.R.C.S. is planned to be a multiplayer RPG where players will create a collaborative story. Moreover, during the game we will be able to create our own quests and levels.
- According to the devs, up to five players can participate in the adventure simultaneously, with one of them assuming the role of a "guide" (a sort of game master) essential for initiating the gameplay, characteristic of stories rooted in the "paper" RPG Dungeons & Dragons.
- The game from Lightforge Games studio will first launch on PC, but later it is expected to be available on "as many platforms as possible."
After watching the released game trailer (above), it can be said that this project will deliver what many players loved about "the third Baldur" - except that we will be experiencing adventures with friends and exerting even greater influence on the story ourselves. Fortnite fans may also be pleased, as the graphics of Project O.R.C.S are closely linked to the popular game from Epic Games.
Project O.R.C.S. will be checked by Steam users first. The game is set to launch on this platform in early access "soon." Unfortunately, we don't know exactly when this will happen. So we have to prepare for the fun and wait for more information.
