Skull and Bones is a multiplayer action-adventure game, where you can delve into the perilous depths of the Indian Ocean during the fabled Golden Age of Piracy. Cast ashore as a shipwrecked outcast, you’ll navigate a treacherous world of cutthroat competition, where you’ll establish alliances and confront adversaries as you forge your own empire to become a Kingpin. In this guide, we take a closer look at how to obtain Pieces of Eight, a currency highly desirable in the endgame.
Skull and Bones – How to Get Pieces of Eight
Infamy serves as the leveling progression system in Skull and Bones, working similarly to XP and is essential for advancing your rank. With 10 ranks reachable, getting the Kingpin rank represents the highest achievement. As your rank increases, you unlock access to better items and gears.
Note that in the Skull and Bones open beta the ranking system ends at level 6, known as Brigand. It means that Piece of Eight is unavailable right now, and you have to wait for the full release to get it.
Pieces of Eight is a currency in Skull and Bones used to purchase facial accessories and rare deadly black market items, including blueprints for unique weapons. By reaching the Kingpin rank, you can take part in temporary world events like Hostile Takeover or Legendary Heist to seize control over manufacturers. Once all the necessary ingredients are delivered, the manufacturer starts production, generating a certain amount of Pieces of Eight per hour.
It is also worth mentioning that in a full game, Piece of Eight may happen to be a reward for some difficult quests. At this point, we can’t rule out this possibility. For now, we must wait for an official launch to check it.
Therefore, if you want to unlock your pirate’s full potential in Skull and Bones, Pieces of 8 become the key to transforming you from scrappy scallywag into a legend of the high seas.
