NieR Replicant Remaster Records Excellent Sales
Square Enix has reasons to be happy. The refreshed version of NieR: Replicant is selling extremely well. Nier: Automata also continues to do very well.
Square Enix boasted that NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... has already sold over a million copies. This impressive result - especially for a refreshed version of an older titles - was achieved within two months, as the game debuted in Asia on April 22 this year, with a global release a day later.
For comparison, the original Nier needed a decade to achieve sales of half a million copies, counting Replicant and Gestalt releases combined. So it is clear that the new version is doing much better.
The main reason for such a big success of NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... is the fact that the brand's popularity exploded after the release of NieR: Automata. Square Enix also boasted that sales of the latter game exceeded 6 million copies.
It is worth recalling that in December last year the publisher reported sales of 5 million copies of NieR: Automata. Thus, the production continues to effectively acquire new buyers.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... was released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Thanks to the backward compatibility the game is also available to the owners of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... was warmly received and boasts very good reviews. The game fell short of technical perfection on PC, but nevertheless the project turned out to be a big success. On Steam, 85% of all user reviews are positive, and when counting only those from the last 30 days, the percentage increases to 92%.
