The mystery that the entire NieR fan community has been living for the past few days turned out to be a joke. Three outstandingly talented modders were responsible for everything.

For several days, the fan community of NieR has been abuzz with materials published by Reddit user sadfutago. The videos he recorded presented a previously unknown secret location, which sparked the imagination of gamers.
It turns out, however, that it was only a joke, which over time turned into a much larger project. Its advancement, on the other hand, deserves the highest praise, even despite the fact that it shattered the dreams of many fans.
This is just a joke...
Subsequent screenshots and footage published by sadfutago amazed the fans and motivated them to create a whole lot of theories.
Some believed that it was indeed a random player who had hit upon a one-of-a-kind secret. Others suggested that we were dealing with cut content from an early version of the game. Some also assumed that it was a precisely planned action by the game's developer to herald new content in the Nintendo Switch edition of the game.
Few people, however, thought it could be the work of modders. After all, until now there has not yet been anyone who could remodel the maps present in the game, let alone enrich them with complex locations with new enemies.
Yesterday, however, it turned out that the latter, most unbelievable scenario was a fact. At one point in the description of sadfutago's account on Reddit, a link to Twitch appeared. There, in turn, a broadcast organized by the perpetrators of the whole commotion began.
Three authors presented more new areas introduced in NieR: Automata. In doing so, they mentioned the most interesting moments related to the discovery of the mystery by the fan community. At the same time, they apologized to all players in whom it may have caused frustration.

The modders also revealed that all the elements shown in the footage were actually present in the game. We are not dealing with editing magic, editing or mystification.
It turns out that the new locations, unknown enemy and cutscenes were the work of exceptionally talented modders, who managed to do something that no one else in the world can boast.
For the purposes of their project they created a toolkit, which they will make available to all players in the near future. Anyone who would also like to try their hand at modifying the game will now have the opportunity to do so.
In addition, the developers will also make the content shown in the recordings available to the community. So you will be able to traverse the mysterious church on your own.
One of the creators, on the other hand, has another ambitious modification in store, which is reportedly already ready, but nothing has been revealed about it yet. We will probably learn more about it in the near future.
