Exodus, the upcoming space RPG, is seen by many as the heir to the Mass Effect series. Especially since it is being developed by veterans who once worked at BioWare studio, and after the release of the last Dragon Age, some fans don't have much hope for the currently developing fifth part of the cosmic series.

Developers from Certain Affinity studio regularly provide us with new information, and last month we finally had the opportunity to see the game's gameplay trailer. Yesterday, a new material with answers to players' questions was published, which you can watch below.

Travelers like Jedi

The devs conveyed that the main character's hometown - Persepolis, located on the planet Lidon - will function as the main hub. There, we will encounter friends, family members, and various other characters, and the choices made during time-dilation quests will significantly affect this place.

We will notice changes, for instance, in the way technology is integrated into various structures - from military to civilian. Of course, the people we left in the city before setting off on the expedition will also change. Upon returning, it may turn out that an entire decade or even several have passed, which will significantly affect our relationships with NPCs.

Interestingly, the developers compared the Travelers (the group to which the main character belongs) to the Jedi Knights from Star Wars. They clarified that the game lacks anything resembling the Jedi Council or any other higher authority, and while they are somewhat more rebellious and independent, they continue to work towards a shared goal of saving humanity.

Besides, some information about the game world was shared, and various places that we will get to see were mentioned. The Mara Yama race was highlighted, noting that during the game we will be able to interact with it.

Exodus is heading to PC, PS5, and XSX/S. The title doesn't have a release date yet.
