Exodus
A third-person action RPG developed by former BioWare employees. Exodus has us playing as a space Traveler on a quest to steal technology from a civilization threatening humanity. The game's key mechanic is time dilation, as space travel makes time flow differently for us.

Exodus is an action RPG developed by Archetype Entertainment, a subsidiary of Wizards of the Coast. The team is composed of many former BioWare employees, such as Chad Robertson (technical director of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic), James Ohlen (lead designer of Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights and Dragon Age: Origins, as well as one of the creators of the first Mass Effect) and Drew Karpyshyn (a senior writer on the first KOTOR and the main writer of the first two Mass Effect games).
Plot
Exodus is set in the future, after humanity has escaped the dying Earth, seeking refuge in an inhospitable galaxy. They must now face the threat of the Celestials, humans with twenty-five centuries of technological advantage.
This is due to time dilation, a phenomenon key to both story and gameplay. According to Einstein's theory of relativity, in simple terms, it involves differences in time measurement due to an object's speed and/or mass.
We play as Jun, a Traveler, tasked with stealing the Celestials' powerful weapon and using it against them. Since she's working against the laws of physics themselves, she must make many difficult choices to accomplish her mission; to save the future, she must abandon the present. She's joined by other heroes along the way, and it's up to our actions and choices how their story will end.
Mechanics
Exodus is a third-person game. The player must complete quests, explore space and fight enemies using futuristic melee weapons, ranged weapons and combat abilities. As we progress, we acquire better equipment and develop our character, becoming more formidable.
The player must be careful while exploring, as time flows differently during interstellar travel. Due to time dilation, what may seem like a few hours or days to us may be years, decades or centuries to our home.
Our decisions also affect our relationships with companions, with whom we can become friends or even lovers. Each companion has their own personality and abilities; they range from veteran soldiers to genetically modified scientists.
Technical aspects
Exodus features high-quality visuals. The audio layer is very impressive, and so is the cast, one of the characters being played by Matthew McConaughey.
