Netflix has shared its plans for 2025 – revealing what productions we will see on the platform in the coming months. For some it was good news, for others it was bad, if the list lacked series whose return or premiere they were looking forward to in the near future. Unfortunately, many of the projects announced by Netflix are unlikely to be released in 2025 or will be announced at a later date, meaning we can expect them closer to the end of 2025.

Shows that will not return to Netflix in 2025

So what shows will we not see on Netflix in 2025? Certainly, many will be disappointed that Bridgerton will not return for the time being with season 4. This year we will also most likely not see new seasons of Avatar: The Last Airbender, One Piece, BEEF, The Gentlemen, Outer Banks, Black Doves, The 3 Body Problem, The Lincoln Lawyer and Virgin River. These are eagerly awaited titles whose fans, unfortunately, will have to be patient, as it's quite possible that we won't see them until 2026 or even later.

Shows that will return to Netflix in 2025

Well, what about the returning series that Netflix has announced for 2025? There are quite a few of these, and they are exciting titles, so we'll share them as a salve after the disappointments above. Returning series include Stranger Things season 5, Squid Game season 3, Wednesday season 2, The Witcher season 4, Ginny & Georgia season 3.

There will also be some new releases, so even though many highly anticipated titles will unfortunately not return in 2025, there will definitely be something to watch on Netflix in the coming months.
