Prime Video is preparing something really interesting for fans of crime stories. Last year we learned that Prime Video had ordered a TV series adaptation of Criminal, the cult comic books by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, and later news about the production proved that it will really be worth waiting for. For those curious about what Amazon is preparing, we've gathered all the information about the upcoming series.

What will Criminal from Prime Video be about?

Prime Video has decided to adapt the first two stories in the Criminal TV series – Coward and Lawless – in the first season. According to reports, the season will be divided into two segments one for each story set in the fictional Center City.

Coward is a story about Leo Patterson, a thief who refuses to reach for a gun. A skilled pickpocket, he is forced to cooperate with police officers in a robbery that seems all too ideal. And according to Leo's hunch, things quickly get complicated and he is forced into hiding, however, as the tragic situation progresses, this solution is not enough – the thief must put his skills to the test to get out of his predicament.

Lawless is a story of brotherly love and hatred. Tracy Lawless returns to Center City years later to learn the truth about his younger brother's death. Forgotten in his hometown, he hides his identity to get to his brother's killer under an alias. What he doesn't expect, however, is that it's not at all easy to escape from the past.

When will Criminal be released on Prime Video?

At this point we do not know the exact date of the release. But on the web, along with the release of the new edition of the comics, information about the approximate release date began to appear. According to this information, Criminal could be coming to Prime Video in 2025. However, this is unconfirmed information, so it should be approached with caution.
