Delta Force is a game developed by Team Jade in a free-to-play model. It is a first-person shooter, focusing on multiplayer gameplay. This is evidenced by the release of the Black Hawk Down campaign, which can be completed alone, but it is extremely challenging and developers encourage teams of 4. However, it does not change the fact that it offers full, refreshed content of the 20-year-old classic for free! Sadly, for the moment, on PC. Why is that? Well… this title is only available on this platform. What about console players then?
Delta Force – Black Hawk Down campaign console release explained
The Black Hawk Down campaign was released for free, i.e. on February 21. You can read more about it in our separate article. And while this is very good news for PC players, those who would like to play the title on PlayStation and Xbox must still wait for the port.
Fortunately, the game will be released on the latest generation of consoles, on top of that with a free campaign if not immediately, then at some point in the future (at least that’s our conclusion, because otherwise it would not make much sense, am I right?). As for the exact time, unfortunately, one has not yet been revealed. The approximate release date of the game, at this point, is the first quarter of this year. However, there are some suspicions that Delta Force's console launch may be postponed, mainly because of the delayed release of the mobile version, which is scheduled for summer.
Nevertheless, this is not confirmed information, and for the time being, it is worth living with the hope that the release of the console version will go as planned. Especially as at the end of 2024, the developers mentioned that they are testing the console port internally.
