KCD2 Hardcore Mode test began. The first 100 fans are already playing
If the challenge in KCD2 wasn't enough for you, there is a Hardcore Mode incoming. Currently tested by 100 players, soon it will be available for us all. When? Here we will try to analyse more precise date.
An unquestionable winner of players’ hearts in February is Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Not only it sells incredibly well, but also spreads love as some fans are so charmed by this title that they buy more copies of it and give it away for free. What is very rare recently, even the publisher is positively shocked by the success of this production. The developers, however, are not stopping there. They are working on mod support, but also they have plans to add Hardcore mode. Let’s see what the future looks like for the second instalment in Kingdom Come Deliverance series.
Hardcore mode in KCD2 – when to expect it?
At this point, probably everyone heard about the stunning success of KCD2. Alongside Truck Simulator, this production has elevated Czech Republic to a new gaming height. The creators from Warhorse Studios are taking a different approach than most big players on the market, though. They are categorizing their title as “welcoming hardcore game”. And to make it even more challenging for some of the die-hard fans, they are preparing literal “hardcore” mode, which is already being tested.
So far, we do not know much about said gameplay change, yet on KCD’s official Discord server we can see an announcement informing that 100 players are already giving this new variation a go. Sadly, we cannot expect any screenshots, videos, or similar details about it, as the testers are forbidden to share them. Additionally, we cannot be certain when the new mode will be made available for everyone, though knowing that the test phase is planned to conclude by the end of March, we can suspect that it won’t be long after that date.
This way of experiencing the game will be directed towards more seasoned players, as the name suggests. We all already know that the method of how Kingdom Come Deliverance handles saves is already too much for some. If you are up to the ultimate challenge, this is something for you.
Remember though, that this title is all about story and how it’s told, rather than the sheer brutality of gameplay like in the case of productions developed by From Software.
