There is a bug in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that prevents you from continuing the main storyline. It will be fixed later this week.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, unlike its predecessor, is rather praised for its technical layer. The title runs great even on weaker hardware, and it doesn't overly annoy with bugs. A few days ago, however, update 1.2 hit the game, which, apart from a lot of new features, also brought one serious issue.

Bug in Kingdom Come 2

We are talking about a quest titled "Into the Underworld," in which we have to find a character named Goatskin. Players report that after installing update 1.2, the NPC doesn't appear, which prevents the continuation of the main storyline.

Sir Tobi, PR Manager of Warhorse studio, referred to the matter on X. He conveyed that the developers are aware of the existence of the bug and are working on a patch that will fix it. It will be released later this week, and until then it's better to focus on side quests.

However, if we don't want to wait, Sir Tobi has shared a way to bypass this problem. Just load the game save in which we haven't started the "Into the Underworld" quest yet - it should fix the task progress. Of course, this method is only appropriate for players who won't lose many hours of game.

One of the Reddit users also shared his way of bypassing the bug. I warn you that the thread contains a step-by-step guide on what to do, so there are some minor spoilers. Besides, as players report, this method doesn't always work.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was released on February 4th on PC, PS5, XSX/S. In April, the game should receive a hardcore mode, and the first of three DLCs is planned for the summer.
