Internet Cafe Becomes a Dedicated Cryptomine for Better Profit
One of Taiwan's internet cafes has was rearranged as cryptocurrency mine. According to the company, this type of business is more profitable.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- Taiwanese internet cafe Star Computer (Tin Hoc Ngôi Sao) has been turned into a cryptomining business;
- The owner of the joint claims that the revenue from this type of business is higher than from renting computer stations.
The owner of the Star Computer (Tin Hoc Ngôi Sao) internet café in Taiwan has decided to abandon his current business and instead use the room and equipment to mine cryptocurrencies. The company announced on Facebook that the revenue from running this type of business is simply higher than what can be earned by running a typical web cafe (via VideoCardz).
"Switching business season, Profits are higher than net business, whoever wants to do, contact me for free," we reads in the news.
The place in question was run by a computer shop, thanks to which its owners had access to the latest GPUs like GeForce RTX 3080. Instead of selling the components, they decided to use them in another way. This is bad news both for the customers of this Taiwanese cafe, and for gamers as such - these GPUs will not hit the market, and as we know, is difficult to buy this hardware today.
At the same time, it's actually hard to hold it against the company for looking for other ways to make money in these tough times. Cryptocurrencies seem like a logical choice in this case, especially given the record rates and massive interest in Bitcoin recently.
