The unexpected popularity of artificial intelligence has rekindled not only hopes for the technology, but also concerns about its use for fraudulent purposes. So, as expected, scammers quickly adapted and began using it and creating their own versions of chatbots. One of them is a bot called FraudGPT, which, according to its anonymous creator, can support fraudsters in hacking and stealing data.

The main difference between FraudGPT and other known AIs, is the lack of restrictions. While OpenAI and other companies involved in creating AI had to put in place numerous safeguards for security, in the case of the chatbot in question, the creator could allow for its complete autonomy.

Thanks to this the AI can, for example, create malicious code for its users, prepare texts to encourage users to click on a given link, and even analyze websites for security features. In addition, the AI creator can also trade the information acquired by users.

Currently, a subscription to the chatbot costs $200. That's considerably more than for the equally malicious WormGPT bot available so far. However, it seems that there is no shortage of takers, as the creator boasted that 3,000 people have already decided to take out a subscription.
