Nvidia CEO Will Appear at CES 2025; He May Announce RTX 50s
Nvidia confirmed its presence at CES 2025 next year. CEO Jen-Hsun Huang will be there in person and is expected to unveil the RTX 50 after months of anticipation.
Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang is scheduled to appear at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, but he will give a special speech the day before the official start of the fair (exactly on January 7 at 2:30 a.m. CET). Nvidia did not reveal what the topic of the company CEO's speech will be, but it will likely concern artificial intelligence and RTX 50-series, which the gamers have been waiting for months. In this case, it would refute the spring leaks, according to which the premiere of new GPUs should be expected as early as 2024 (see Notebook Check).
Presentation of RTX 50-series before the official start of CES 2025
CES Las Vegas is one of the largest electronics fairs in the world. This American city seems to be the best place to finally introduce the world to the RTX 50, about which we regularly receive new leaks. Some of the latest ones concern the specifications of RTX 5090 and 5080. Jen-Hsun Huang will finally be able to dispel any doubts about the new generation.
Thus, the players could also find out if they should invest in a new PC power supply. Back in July it was said that the RTX 5090 will require 500 W of power, but the aforementioned reports from September have already increased this value to 600 W. The difference is big and the lack of consistency in the leaks shows that we probably won't know the actual power consumption of the new GPU until the official announcement.
The only question is when the RTX 50-series will hit the stores. There are still a few months left until the theoretical presentation in January, and back in the summer it was said that the GPU production was running at increased speed. This was supposed to be one of the reasons why there will be fewer and fewer RTX 40s on the market, which was confirmed at the end of September, as the availability of RTX 4090s was almost zero.
Whatever Jen-Hsun Huang shows, it will probably be beneficial for the company. In recent months, Nvidia has regained its value. Huang also cannot complain about a lack of funds, as according to Forbes, he has so much money that he could buy Intel and still have several billion dollars left in his pocket.
