How to Steal in Metaphor ReFantazio

Persona creators – Atlus – returned with a new title. Metaphor ReFantazio is RPG set in a fantasy world where humans are powerful monsters. To overcome all dangers, protagonists use Archetypes (powers similar to famous Personas). It is possible to unlock almost 50 different types (like Gunner for example) during the adventure. At least four of them give ability to steal.
How to Steal in Metaphor ReFantazio
In Metaphor ReFantazio, you can learn how to steal. This skill allows you to take loot from enemies. How does it work? You have to remember that there is no 100% guarantee that the attempt will be successful. If you really want to get free items, you can use the skill at the beginning of the battle and restart it, if the attempt is a failure.
However, you must have a specific Archetype to gain access to this Almighty Skill. There are three classes with stealing ability. Two of them – Assassin and Ninja – have this perk from the start (it will cost you 4 MP). Thief, however, must level up to rank 2 to unlock this ability.
Stealing isn’t the only skill that allows players to take loot from enemies. All of the already mentioned archetypes have access to a passive skill called Pickpocket. It’s innate, so you don’t have to unlock it. It gives you chance to get additional loot for stunned or defeated enemies in overworld. So, you can get it during regular exploration.
How to Steal MAG in Metaphor ReFantazio
Loot isn't everything. In Metaphor ReFantazio you can also steal MAG (a resource to study Achetypes) from the enemies. If you unlock Merchant Archetype, you can gain access to Debt Collection skill. However, this requires reaching rank 20 with this class.
