Of course, campaign is one of its selling points, yet we have seen experiments, like Black Ops IIII, which ditched this component entirely and was still somewhat successful. However, the developers quickly realized that completing all the levels in the game is rather fast and doesn’t reward players for the grind. Hence, the prestige levels. Debuting in console version of Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2007), it adds flair for most dedicated players. How does it work in Black Ops 6? How to prestige in BO6 explained
For some of the fans capping out on the maximum 55 level will be more than enough. However, BO6 offers a return of classic, pre Black Ops IIII, system of prestige for those who dare. How to do so? Once you hit the max level and go back to the main menu after the last match, you will be asked if you would like to prestige. If you choose the “not right now” option, you can do it later from the prestige menu. Be prepared to be teased by the creators, though, by the iconic chicken sound.
With the return of the old system, upon hitting the prestige, the following will be reset:
- Your level,
- Weapons,
- Scorestreaks,
- Perks,
- Equipment and field upgrades.
Don’t worry, as there are features that will always be accessible, like:
- Your weapon progression,
- Camos,
- Reticles,
- Builds,
- Challenge progress and unlocks,
- Store and battle pass content,
- Operators and emotes,
- Zombies GobbleGums.
Additionally, once you prestige, you will get a token that allows for permanent unlock. After hitting prestige level 10, no more resets will be available, yet Master Prestige will come into the effect that will put you through a grind of 1000 levels. Every 100 levels in this mode, it will be possible to choose a prestige icon of the respective level from all legacy CoD icons.

Progressing through levels quickly in Black Ops 6
The easiest way to quickly grind through the levels is to play Kill Confirmed game mode, while having “Bankroll” Perk Greed. It tremendously boosts the XP you gain, which is surprisingly easy to do in the aforementioned mode.
