Macaulay Culkin, as the holidays approach, a time that people spend with their families and with Kevin McCallister, is traveling the country as part of A Nostalgic Night With Macaulay Culkin, a project involving joint Home Alone screenings and Q&A sessions with the actor. During them, he reveals various tidbits from the set and from his life, referring to the biggest hit with his participation. Among other things, he mentioned that he was considering buying the famous house in Winnetka, which belonged to the McCallisters in the film.

While in Rosemont, Illinois, Macaulay Culkin also told an anecdote from the set regarding his interaction with Joe Pesci (via The New York Times). The actor confessed that Pesci, who plays burglar Harry, tried to scare him on the set, which would help their dynamic in front of the cameras. They played enemies who fought each other in the McCallister's big house.

He was trying to scare me. He was like, I want to be menacing to this kid.

However, this led to him inadvertently biting Culkin's finger, which left him with a scar. This took place during a rehearsal for a scene in which Harry threatens Kevin to bite his fingers off. However, it accidentally led to him actually biting Culkin's finger.

I have a scar. I saw his face — and I’ve never, ever seen Joe Pesci actually scared. Because he’s like, “I just bit a kid!”

The situation in the past probably gave them both a scare, but today it's an anecdote that Macaulay Culkin recalls with amusement when talking about his experience on the set of Home Alone.
