Call of Duty is one of those franchises which seem immortal. Every year thousands of fans await games from this series. A few hours ago, the new title appeared - Black Ops 6. The game seems to have a warm welcome from fans even despite the controversy about audio subscription, but BO6 has far from perfect start. Some players report technical issues like lack of rewards or problems with launching the game on Steam. However, it is not the end. Numerous people inform that they can’t play on Game Pass. Let’s look at that issue.

Need to Purchase BO6 on Xbox Game Pass

So, if you want to play the game and you see information that you have to buy BO6, it is most probably the fault of your Game Pass version. Keep in mind that only Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass PC include new games on day one. In that case, you have to either buy the game or pay for a different version of GP.

BO6 Crashes on Games Pass

Some people also have problems with crashes using Game Pass and can’t launch the game. One of the Reddit users (basedinmilkyway) noticed that the problem was caused by the controller remapping software. Removing it, allowed him to play BO6. It is likely that even if you don’t have such a tool, something else might be at fault. Check out your programs and think about software which can be recognized by anti-cheat as potentially harmful. Hopefully, this hint will help you solve the problem.

In the case the above does not help, you should check out some basic tips like:

  1. Verify files (right-click the game in your library and press manage).
  2. Run the game as administrator.
  3. Go to your PC settings and enter apps (start menu). Find Black Ops 6 on the list of installed apps and click Advanced options (3 dots on Windows 11). Now repair the game from the new menu and reset the Xbox app.
