The endless range of cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket lets you craft countless decks. but let’s focus on my favorite: darkness Pokémons. Some of these require minimal energy to deliver impressive damage, and with their poison abilities, opponents don’t stand a chance. There are multiple ways to build a Weezing deck, so let’s examine the most effective strategies.

Weezing in Pokemon TCG Pocket

Have you heard about famous cheats in Pokémon TCG Pocket? We break it all down in our article on the Wonder Pick Exploit.

Weezing is a stage 1 darkness Pokémon that evolves from Koffing. Both of these creatures require just one darkness energy card. Weezing has 110 HP and can deal 30 damage, but it can also poison the opponent’s Active Pokémon with its special ability, dealing an additional 10 damage. Plus, you can always use Giovanni Supporter card to boost the damage output.

The Poison status remains in effect until the opponent’s Pokémon leaves the Active Spot. Remember, the poison damage applies at the end of both yours and your enemy’s turn.

One downside is that it requires three energy cards to retreat. However, you can use an X Speed card to lower the retreat cost by one or use Koga supporter card. Koga will put your Muk or Weezing from the Active Spot into your hand.

Weezing and Arbok Deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket

Weezing Pairs perfectly with Arbok, a Stage 1 Pokémon, evolution of Ekans. It requires two energy cards, only one of which needs to be Darkness type. With 100 HP and a skill that deals 60 damage, Arbok can also lock your opponent’s Active Pokémon for their next turn. Don't forget that it has a two-energy retreat cost.

The trick to this deck is to lead with Weezing to deal initial damage and poison the opponent’s Active Pokémon, then switch to Arbok to continue the attack and prevent them from swapping out their Pokémon. It’s a simple but effective combo. Even if they try to heal, the poison and steady attacks will wear them down.

The Weezing Arbok deck build:

  1. Koffing x2,
  2. Weezing x2,
  3. Ekans x2,
  4. Arbok x2,
  5. Professor’s Research Supporter card x2,
  6. Poké Ball x2,
  7. Koga Supporter card x2,
  8. Potion x2,
  9. Giovanni x2,
  10. X Speed x1,
  11. Sabrina x1.

Weezing and Wigglytuff ex Deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket

Wigglytuff ex is a Stage 1 Pokémon that evolves from Jigglypuff. Its attack requires three energy cards, and it has a two-energy retreat cost. Wigglytuff ex’s ability deals 80 damage and can put the opponent’s Active Pokémon to sleep, locking them in place, much like Arbok. So, the strategy for this deck is similar to the Weezing and Arbok combo.

Start with Koffing to deal initial damage, then evolve into Weezing and use its poison ability while attaching energy to Wigglytuff ex. Once ready, switch them and use Sleepy Song to keep your opponent’s Pokémon stuck in the active spot.

The Weezing Wigglytuff ex deck build:

  1. Koffing x2,
  2. Weezing x2,
  3. Jigglypuff x2,
  4. Wigglytuff x1,
  5. Wigglytuff ex x1,
  6. Professor’s Research Supporter card x2,
  7. Poké Ball x2,
  8. Koga Supporter card x2,
  9. Potion x2,
  10. Giovanni x2,
  11. X Speed x1,
  12. Sabrina x1.
