Whenever a new big shooter is about to drop, one of the first things fans of the genre are eager to know is the list of weapons. Not too long ago, Activision Blizzard revealed the full list of weapons that will be available in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on day one. This has given the community a chance to check out the arsenal and share their thoughts on it.

As a quick reminder, Black Ops 6 is set to launch on October 24 at 9 p.m. PT for both Battle.net and Steam. The game will also be released on PS5 and Xbox consoles the same day. Alongside this, the developers have also unveiled the design of the new prestige emblems, as well as some preload details.

BO6 weapons list

Just ahead of the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Activision Blizzard has unveiled the list of weapons available in the game on day one. This lineup includes a variety of primary weapons, giving players plenty of options to choose from right at launch. Our list features 25 weapons, ensuring there’s something for everyone to start with.

A screenshot showcasing most of the guns was recently shared on Reddit, giving many players a chance to weigh in with their opinions. Before diving into the community's reactions, let's start with a breakdown of the weapons themselves. You can find the image featuring the guns above.

1. XM4. Full-auto assault rifle. A versatile rifle, characterized by average accuracy.
2. AK-74. Primary weapon. Full-auto assault rifle. Rifle with great firepower at mid-range, but a slower rate of fire and heavier recoil.
3. AMES 85. Another full-auto rifle. Excellent weapon for mid- to long-range engagements, because of its great accuracy and a suitable rate of fire.
4. GPR 91. Full-auto assault rifle. This rifle may have some lacks in power, but it makes up for a decent rate of fire.
5. MODEL L. Full-auto assault rifle. Great choice for mid-range encounters.
6. GOBLIN MK 2. Semi-auto assault rifle. Very good at short- to mid-ranges where its operator can take full advantage of its impressive rate of fire.
7. AS VAL. Full-auto assault rifle. Great for urban combat through its improved mobility.
8. C9. Full-auto submachine gun. Well-balanced weapon that performs good enough in close- to mid-range clashes.
9. KSV. Full-auto submachine gun. Perfect for skillful operators seeking versatility.
10. TANTO .22. Full-auto submachine gun. An easy-to-handle submachine gun with excellent mid-range performance.
11. PP-919. Full-auto submachine gun. A gun with the highest ammo counts in its class.
12. JACKAL PDW. Full-auto submachine gun. The characteristic features of this submachine gun are great handling and mobility.
13. KOMPAKT 92. Full-auto submachine gun. Has the fastest fire rate in class.
14. MARINE SP. Pump-action shotgun. Powerful and versatile. Hand loaded with one-shot kill potential in close-range.
15. ASG-89. Semi-automatic shotgun. A shotgun with a solid rate of fire thanks to its decent magazine size (6).
16. PU-21. Full-auto light machine gun. Lightweight and easy to aim machine gun. Rewards carful recoil control.
17. XMG. Full-auto light machine gun. This gun has a slower fire rate, but powerful sustained fire accuracy.
18. GPMG-7. Full-auto light machine gun. Amazing fire rate with addition to long-range damage makes this gun one of the best in its class.
19. SWAT 5.56. Three-round burst marksman rifle. Excellent rifle at medium ranges.
20. TSARKOV 7.62. Semi-auto marksman rifle. The great handling of this rifle makes it a lethal weapon in the hands of mobile operator.
21. AEK-973. Three-round burst marksman rifle. Awesome stability and a fast rate of fire makes this weapon very good even at long ranges.
22. DM-10. Semi-auto marksman rifle. This is the best in class rifle for mid to long-range encounters.
23. LW3A1 Frostline. Bolt-action sniper rifle. A gun with a decent rate of fire and handling speed, but quite big recoil.
24. SVD. Semi-auto sniper rifle. A rifle capable of shooting precise follow-up shots.
25. LR 7.62. Bolt-action sniper rifle. High damage with minimal recoil and slower handling.

Players disappointed by lack of shotguns

Under the Reddit post, there are a variety of opinions about the weapon list. Some fans are excited about the new guns, noting how distinct they look and feel from each other. They also appreciate the more sensible names for the rifles, pointing out how they aren’t as odd as in previous installments. For example, they mention names like the Tempus Razorback and Lachmann Sub from Modern Warfare 3.

One Reddit user, Weary-Hovecraft7305, pointed out that only two shotguns made it onto the list. This didn't sit well with the community, but there’s hope that future updates to Black Ops 6 will add more guns of this type.
