Mastering the techniques in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, such as Vanishing, Deflecting Beams, Dodging, Sonic Sway, and Super Counter, is crucial and should be a top priority. You can't also forget about Afterimage, a special mode that grants your character incredible speed, making it nearly impossible to land a direct hit. However, your opponents can use it too. This DB: Sparking Zero guide will help you understand how to master this mode and how to counter it during fights.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero – Everything You Need to Know About Afterimage

The biggest challenge when dealing with Afterimage in Sparking Zero is the lack of any clear indicator that it’s active. There’s no sound, animation, or icon to show that your opponent is in Afterimage mode, making it tricky to recognize when it's being used. However, if you notice that your attacks are having no effect, that’s your clue they’ve activated it. To help you counter this technique, here’s what you need to know:

  1. Afterimage lasts for about 15 seconds. If you notice that your enemy is in this mode, try to wait it out, or simply activate it yourself.
  2. Use Super Counter, Sonic Sway, Revenge Counters, or other evasive maneuvers to dodge attacks and find opportunities to grab your opponent.
  3. Only Ki blasts can penetrate an opponent's Afterimage and land a hit.
  4. Don’t forget that entering Sparking mode grants you super armor, which can be incredibly useful in these situations.
